Lenovo ThinkPad Edge S430 ultrabook
Lenovo Edge S430, suitable for both businesses and use at home, will ship with Intel Core processors and Intel’s integrated graphics or switchable Optimus GPU solution combining the IGP by having a Nvidia discreet card. The S430 features a built-in DVD burner, and definately will have as much as 1TB of hard disk drive storage.
Between the announced options that come with the revolutionary ThinkPad Edge can be a Thunderbolt port for considerably faster communication with external devices compared to USB. Regarding USB, the Lenovo Edge S430 will have USB 3.0.
Alongside the S430, laptop maker has unveiled other upcoming Lenovo ThinkPad Edge models, namely the 11.6-inch E130, 13.3-inch E330, 14-inch E430, and 15-inch E530, by using Intel Core CPUs, and also corresponding AMD-based models: the E135, E335, E435 and E535. These are laptops with standard thickness, as opposed to the S430, but all share similar design with curved edges.
Finally,Lenovo has unveiled the modern B series laptops, from the entry-level business segment. The B480 and B580 feature Intel Core CPUs and 14- and 15.6-inch displays respectively, while their AMD counterparts are B485 and B585.
Principal Edge S430 configuration begins at $749, when it hit the market in June. The classic Edges models are going to roll out in April for $400 and up. The B series begins at $350 with undisclosed availability duration.
Although Lenovo didn’t say whether or not the Intel-based Edge and B series models will be pre-loaded with the following-gen Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs, we assume that it'll be the case, since Ivy Bridge is predicted to kick or punch this market in April.
