HP Envy 14 Spectre vs HP Folio 13
The Folio 13 is HP’s first ultrabook that has been announced at the end of 2011 and the Envy 14 Spectre is the company’s 2012 revelation. Considered to be a premium laptop. HP Envy 14 Spectre outclasses the Folio 13 with its impressive and outstanding design that combines elements of aluminium with glass. Still, both laptops have HP’s style, following the same classic form factor.
As for the weight, they are pretty heavy in comparison with other ultrabooks , weighing 1.5kg, respectively 1.7kg and thicker, but that is explained with a full amount of ports available for each of these two machines.
There are also other features they have in common: a good battery life, a great and comfortable backlit keyboard, same operating system inside plus a solid performance experience with Intel’s low voltage i5, Wi-Fi connectivity or built-in webcam.
Besides being one of the best looking ultrabooks to be unveiled, HP Envy 14 Spectre has some extra features in comparison with the Folio 13:
- a better display with a higher resolution
- Beats Audio sound system integrated
- wireless audio streaming technology
- NFC support included
- more SSD memory
Both machines also include HP’s CoolSense technology integrated and they resume and boot fast. There is also 4GB of RAM inside HP’s ultrabooks and the same Windows 7 operating system. For extra features, more solid yet good looking design and better specs, HP Envy 14 Spectre is much more expensive than the Folio 13
